Russia has launched one of its largest combined drone and missile attacks on Ukraine's capital in recent months. Kyiv came under waves of Shahed drones, ballistic missiles, and cruise missiles overnight, leaving at least 17 people dead and dozens injured as rescue operations continued.
Residential buildings, hospitals, hotels, and civilian infrastructure across all ten districts of Kyiv were hit. More than 52,000 residents reportedly took shelter inside the city's metro stations during the prolonged air raid.
